We're not lawyers - this is a plain explanation of what YardWatch is and what to expect from using it. By using the site, you're agreeing to this.
What YardWatch Is
YardWatch checks the public inventory listings at Jalopy Jungle (all 5 Idaho locations) and Trusty Pick-A-Part several times a day, and lets you search that inventory, save a watchlist of makes/models/years you're after, and get emailed when something matching shows up.
Not Affiliated With the Yards
YardWatch is an independent, unofficial tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Jalopy Jungle or Trusty Pick-A-Part. We just read their public inventory pages.
Inventory Data Might Be Wrong
Everything you see on YardWatch - what's in stock, what row it's in, whether it's still there - comes from scraping the yards' own websites on a schedule. It can be out of date, incomplete, or just wrong: a car could sell, get moved, or already be picked apart between our last check and when you show up. Always treat YardWatch as a heads-up, not a guarantee, and confirm with the yard before making a trip.
Your Account
Keep your password to yourself. One account per person. Don't use the account to abuse the service - that includes trying to scrape or automate against YardWatch itself, or spamming other users.
No Guarantees
YardWatch is provided as-is. It's a small, independently-run site and can go down, have bugs, or be slow sometimes. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it'll always be available.
Not Liable for Losses
We're not responsible for anything that goes wrong from relying on YardWatch's data - a wasted trip, a missed part, whatever. Use your judgment.
We Can Suspend Accounts
If an account is being used to abuse the service, we can suspend or remove it.
Resolving Disputes
If you and YardWatch have a dispute we can't work out directly, it gets resolved through individual binding arbitration instead of in court, and you're giving up the right to a jury trial or to join a class action. You can opt out of this arbitration requirement by emailing yardwatchadmin@gmail.com within 30 days of creating your account, saying you want to opt out. Either of us can still take a dispute to small claims court instead, if it qualifies.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
